Leander ISD Counseling Services is partnering with Round Rock ISD to raise awareness about adolescent mood disorders through a parent program presented by the Johns Hopkins’ Adolescent Depression Awareness Program (ADAP).
The presentation will be given on two separate dates, and parents are welcome to attend either session, regardless of school district.
Dr. Karen Swartz, a mood disorders specialist from Johns Hopkins, will lead the discussion and answer questions about adolescent mood disorders. Topics will include characteristics, symptoms, prevalence and treatment.
